Lady, I doubt that reducing follow-up visits will really cut into their income. The big money is made by doing surgery. This is all the more true if the patient has managed care, which in all likelihood pays peanuts for follow up care.

When a optamologists can get $1,000 for operating why should he settle for a $75 office visit ?
