While you're at it, perhaps you can measure the vapor of this post by Paul Engel on the Intel thread. I'd say Adaptec is on track by helping to make "wider roads and faster cars" in the PC age.

Sadly, very few of todays students can understand even Vol. 1 of Knuth and even fewer know of the existence of 2 and 3! It is a really neat book and no one should be allowed to consider themselves a Computer Scientist if they cannot make it through at least the first volume!
