#14966-Ask God:

"How nice that we of the SI community etc., etc."

Marcos, I'm not exactly sure how I'm supposed to understand the above in its entirety of the last small paragraph at the end of your post. I could interpret it two ways.

I could see you standing in the background when I made that post this afternoon [Saturday] and wondered what you might think about it. Wondered even if you would feel offended by it and thus respond.

But it wasn't my intention to offend. I could have picked any group of people whose skin color is different than my own and gotten the same response by a person of that particular race.

My point was, by using the word "Confession" (a word which is supposed to convey a secret which one feels guilty about and confesses said secret to absolve or admit guilt) that I, though I don't consider myself to be [one] outwardly, am a racist to a degree. I don't think many others would feel comfortable doing this publicly preferring instead to hide their guilt from the masses. By responding to the post I also chose to fess up: Yes, I am to a degree a racist. And I feel guilty to have, let alone express even subtly, such thought patterns. By so doing, I have used myself to make the point.

Know anybody else who would care to admit their shame publicly? I know very few who would feel sorry let alone admit it.

End of private message.
