First off Emile, sorry about taking so long to post this. They worked me 20 hours this weekend, not that I won't appreciate the paycheck.

>If you seek Him with all your heart, you will find Him. "If you confess with your
>mouth the Lord Jesus Christ and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from
>the dead, you shall be saved."

That's one of the problems I have with it Emile. By this logic, God is in the position of offering us salvation from a situation It (What pronoun do you use for a genderless deity anyway?) incurred in the first place.

But putting that aspect of it aside, why is it that Christianity thinks that God grants entrance into Heaven for believers only? I really can't imagine an infinitely wise being holding everyone but his close friends out of the ultimate celestial big time.

Everyone finds out what (if anything) lies beyond death anyway. If God is it, why would He/She/Whatever keep us in a less desirable part of the afterlife just because of our limited vision, our incomprehension of the infinite design? Something tells me God would heed his own advice from the story of Lazarus and the rich man. The accuracy of the Bible and wether or not it is genuine is another debate entirely. Sufficed to say that as with everything, I have my doubts. I live up to my name quite well.

I await your answer with bated breath. (Also, anyone else wanting to jump in on this go right ahead. This is in no way a private discussion between Emile and I unless he wants to make it so of course.)
