"Dell NT servers were 40% less than anything Sun had "

you can run Unix whether its linux, Solaris or SCO on any Intel Box from Dell. It is more scalable and reliable than NT and Unix on Intel is the number 1 web server on the Internet. I personally wont buy from Dell because they insist on selling you NT or Windows with everything, so you have to remove it yourself - product tying is a big issue which the DOJ is just beginning to address.

As far as Sun not having anything in the price range of Dell - sure they do, you just have to lash about 10 4-way Dell Servers together to match a low end E450 and you still have to reboot the sh*ts every morning.

Does anybody know what Bob F's background is. I read on a prior post somewhere that he is not a salesman. I can't find that post now. I saw Bob F on TV last night and he seemed like a marketing type person as opposed to engineering.
