Hi,
Got a sale today on FLC Drilling (5.8%).
I've decided to take a chance with a negative buy safe on MRK. I'm going with a -4 buy safe and a plus 12 sell safe. As high as MRK is I don't get to buy or sell as many shares yet as I do with my less expensive stocks.
I will keep you posted on the results with the negative safe #.
Bernie

hey tom---kevin has just returned from a consultancy in costa rica and is now temporarilly residing in victoria, b.c. he's unsure what his next set of plans are as he considers our possible business venture. he lurks on a lot of the si boards, but i don't believe gets over here to the AIM thread. he's mentioned he's seen your name rather frequently.
his plans call for me NOT managing his portfolio when he's out of the country. a few years ago while he was in japan, i took over his portfolio and dumped MICROSOFT and PFIZER within weeks. that's before i hafd my long-term glasses on.
cleaning up desk in anticipation of leaving for hula land friday a.m. much mai-tai-ing to catch up on, brudda.

s.k.

Tom, I too have a story about dad and work. He grew up a farmer. When he left the farm he worked for a grain commissioning firm. I got to go with him to the elevator in Minneapolis and out to country elevators on Saturdays. He got me one of my first jobs working for a grain inspection firm. I got to go onto the floor of the Minneapolis Grain Exchange.

Funny how those "going to work with Dad" days influence your life. I still have a fondness for grain elevators and farming. As an adult I've begun to trade grain futures. (Funny, Dad warned me of the risk of grain futures. Wish he were alive today so I could show him how I've learned to trade them with relatively low risk.)
