Byron isn't going to sell anywhere b/t here and $50. This stock will make him a multimillionaire in 12 months and he knows it. Byron will sell when Jimmy sells and that will be when I sell and that isn't now. This is a winner.

>>I don't know about Judith's worry about what would happen if the paper was in transit and Byron decide to sell all his shares. My impression is that the paper is really ceremonial and that the real meat is in your broker's database. You could still sell at anytime, and my broker, Fidelity says that if you can't deliver in three days you just pay a late fee. It certainly sounds pretty cut and dry.

EVERYONE PLEASE NOTE WHAT I BOLD-FACED, THAT IS ALSO MY UNDERSTANDING, BUT WITH ONE CORRECTION. HAVING OUR CERTS PREVENTS ANYONE FROM SHORTING US, BUT WE CAN STILL SELL AT ANY DAMN TIME WE WANT TO! PLEASE ASK YOUR BROKER TO VERIFY THIS BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING. THE MOST IMPORTANT THING HERE, IS LET US THINK AND ACT RATIONALLY, AND SLEEP WELL, OK?

>>Nonetheless, calling for your shares is very Old School
Maybe I am showing my age, but it seems to me that having possession of what you have paid for in cash should be more comforting than having it on some computer in your broker's office. Especially since you can still sell at any time and then mail your certs back within three days (my understanding only, please check with your broker). Yet some people seem more secure with that arrangement. Guess that's the 90's for you :-)

The only downside I see is if you have the certs and the house catches fire, so if you sell you could not mail back the certs. I bet even in that case there is some fee you pay to re-generate the certs, but I would not want to chance it. I would lock them away.
