Lastshadow, I'm in agreement with you. I should have italicized the word purists. If Go2net/Silicon Investor decides that it is necessary to have banner ads start showing up here and there, I will not complain. Occasionally, I'm forced to use the public server to connect to SI. I find the small ads that appear to be unobtrusive. I also know that a number of members disagree with both of us. Some believe that paying membership fees entitles them to an ad-free site forever. But even if freedom from ads is a membership perk, I don't believe that it should apply to non-paying members who were grandfathered in(like myself). Michael
