Scott, thanks for the book suggestion. I noticed a few that I follow Buhler Inds. and Insulpro among his latest picks. I read a few parts and skimmed over the rest in Chapters. I would also like to recommend two other books "How to make money in stocks" by William O'Neil and for those interested in technical analysis "Using Technical Analysis" by Clifford Pistolese. The first recommendation I have read a couple of times and I think it's great value for good content (only 16$), the second is about 35$ and I didn't have much time to go over it in the Ottawa Chapters but I could not find here (TO).
Happy investing, Matthew.

The VSE has put their beta version into full service. vse.ca If you didn't look at their beta version, it is a great improvement over the previous site. I particularly like the new notice query system, the delayed java ticker, and the detailed quote option.

We'll be changing our links tomorrow over to the new queries on the VSE site. (Right after we fix the survey - my apologies to those of you who filled the survey out today only to have it rejected!)

BTW - when I spoke to the VSE today, they mentioned that the next phase (the subscription phase) of their site may be available for limited free beta testing in June. I'll let you know here when/ if that happens.

David

Hi Scott,

I picked up Decter's book a couple of weeks ago. Couldn't find it at Chapters or World's Biggest, but found it at Lichtman's! Anyway, I just got around to reading it. I found it pretty good. Talk about an easy book to write, though. Just pick up your monthly statements and your old notes and write them up. I'll look forward to reading yours someday.

Have you noticed the discount on Electrohome Broadcasting? It has slipped quite a bit in the past few weeks. Any ideas?

Stu.
