Cocaine absolutely deadens sexual appetite, particularly for men. A wise woman who is planning a romantic evening would never offer a gentleman cocaine at all, since all he would want to do is talk all night (and diagram the conversation on a chalk board if one is available). It is possible to function, however. Men stoned on cocaine feel extremely intelligent, full of insights. When they stop grinding their teeth and seeking more cocaine, there are flashes of brilliance. Someone who is already a wonk would be really, really excited about whatever policy matters he needed to act upon. In the late seventies, some of my bosses, who were brand managers in the marketing department of a major winery, used a lot of cocaine at work. It is not detectable unless you have little white crumbs around your nostrils!!
