Re: Press Conference...Press release is from MCA, which is SVGI's PR firm, not Ultratech's. (UTEK uses Lippert/Hellshorn.) I spoke with the MCA contact, Jennifer Anselmo, who was not able to give out any names of companies involved in the announcement. She added me to the fax list, however, and she said that another press release would be going out tomorrow just prior to the press conference that will identify the company(s?) involved. I will post an update here upon receipt of any fax or further news. Intel opens first .25 u facility in Europe: biz.yahoo.com The article talks about all of the great chip features allowed by .25 u including higher megahertz speeds, lower electricity consumption and lower heat creation. At the Ireland opening, Intel Pres., Craig Barrett, was quoted as saying, "Intel will convert its entire microprocessor production to 0.25 micron technology by the beginning of the fourth quarter of this year. Ireland will play an important role in that conversion." OK, Craig, so how about ordering some Micrascans?? --David
