Did you see PBS's Frontline on nuclear powwa?

It demolished the the Left's trog view.
pbs.org

Wouldn't it be ironic if it were shown that the anti-nuke movement was powered by oil and coal interests? Useful idiots revisited.

Btw, the show detailed how Jimmy Carter caused our nuclear waste storage problem. pbs.org Well, Mis' Lillian always said that "Billy was the smart one".

Maybe she shoulda added "honest" too.

Terrence, do you remember that discussion of racial discrimination at Denny's? I watched a 60 Minutes segment on the issue recently, and it showed how all the managers, assistant managers, and wait staff have been carefully trained now to make sure they do not even give the impression of discriminating. Even the way a plate is put in front of someone can rub people the wrong way if it is sort of slammed on the table, for example.

There is a new president of the corporation, who came from Burger King, who will not tolerate any discrimination at all, period. I was really impressed with him. But then today, I read this little article in the paper, over a group of black teenagers who were ALLEGEDLY not served. It seems the problem is not yet solved!!

I know you don't believe there was ever any discrimination there, however. Did you happen to watch the 60 Minutes piece?

FT, I agree that Nuclear is one of the best and cleanest ways to produce electricity. Let's hope the Russians have learned their lesson from Chernobyl. It is too late to redesign their existing plants, but they can certainly train the people that run those plants a lot better. The rest of the world should demand this.
