That's what analysts do. 38 of them have issued earnings forecasts for 1998 and 1999. .
My point is that CB really can't miss with a forecast that 2nd half will be better. But how much better? Intel doesn't give numbers, so investors look at the analysts forecasts. And until they come up, the stock will probably trade in the current range, (with a P/E of 25).
