RE:"Paul"

Joe,

I think that Paul provides very good insight into Intel marketing. If Cyrix' marketing could train themselves to think like Paul, the company would likely be more successful.

The issues of low clock speed and FPU performance, which Paul reminds us of constantly, are the very issues preventing Cyrix investors from making money.

Cyrix' first product was a math coprocessor. I can't help but wonder why they allowed themselves to fall behind in floating point performance. It indicates a clear lack of market saavy on the part of management.

Joe - Re: "do you come here to exchange ideas about investing and
technology?"

I come here for the same reasons you do.

Re: ", you resort to the pointing out that other companies are not as profitable as Intel."

Consider your comment - it is FUNDAMENTAL TO INVESTING.

Repeat - PROFITABILITY IS FUNDAMENTAL TO INVESTING.

Do you have the vaguest idea what this means?
