Beamer, Colin Campbell has to be taken seriously, even though he may wrong. His work is statiscally based and appears to lack a hidden agenda. The Sciam bio states he has worked in the oil industry for more than 40 years (Texaco and Amoco mentioned)and has a Ph.D. in Geology from the University of Oxford. "His decade long study of oil production trends has led to 2 books and numerous papers". One thing that could blow a hole in the declining supply scenario would be if Thomas Gold's Deep Gas Theory, which few people take seriously so far, proved to be true.
