Anthony, all the Actv website just got alot better. At least since the last time I looked. Go see it, pictures and all. Nice adv from C&W.actv.com ACTV has entered into a programming agreement with FOX Sports Net. FOX Sports Net is a service of "National Sports Partners," a joint venture between Cablevision's Rainbow Media Holdings, Inc. and FOX/Liberty Networks, which is a 50/50 partnership between News Corp. and TeleCommunications, Inc.'s Liberty Media Corporation. Equally owned by FOX/Liberty Networks and Cablevision's Rainbow Media Holdings, Inc., the new venture now reaches more than 58 million homes nationwide. FOX Sports Net is the first truly nationwide, regional and local supplier of sports programming. The agreement grants the Company the right to license FOX Sports Net programming from each of FOX's owned and operated regional sports networks, and to rebroadcast individualized versions of the programming in their respective markets. The FOX Sports Net national agreement followed the completion of the Company's Individualized Programming trial within the TCI of Ventura County cable system in greater Los Angeles. The results were extremely positive - over 80% of the participants indicated greater satisfaction with their cable operator through the inclusion of ACTV individualized content. In February, 1998, ACTV announced an affiliation agreement with Telecommunication Inc. (TCI). The agreement will permit TCI to introduce ACTV's regional individualized sports programming, offered in conjunction with FOX Sports Southwest, with future potential distribution nationwide. ACTV will first launch an individualized network within the region served by FOX Sports Southwest. FOX Sports Southwest distributes programming to 5.1 million households in Texas, Louisianna, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and nine New Mexico counties. The professional teams covered by FOX Sports Southwest include San Antonio Spurs, the Dallas Mavericks, the Houston Rockets, the Dallas Stars, the Houston Aeros, the Houston Astros and the Texas Rangers. For sports telecasts, the Company's Individualized Programming allows viewers to access exciting new features that enhance an event's standard coverage. During a hockey game, for example, the viewer can select features like Hit Parade, a recap of the game's hardest checks; Saving Grace, a compilation of the game's biggest saves; Star Cam, an isolated view of a featured player; Goals-On-Demand, a recap of all the scores; and Sports Trivia, a game show that allows the host to respond directly to each viewer's inputs. In addition, the viewer can call up in-depth statistics, or choose to see an instant replay - all with the push of a button. Individualized Programming gives television advertisers the opportunity to target their message demographically. By requesting viewer responses to basic questions at the beginning of the program, ACTV can recall this information during a commercial break and send the viewer the appropriate advertisement. Additionally, advertisers will be able to offer individualized commercials, where the viewer is able to indicate his or her preference. For example, before a commercial break in a sporting event, viewers are asked which type of car they would like to see: coupe, pick-up truck, sport utility or luxury sedan. ACTV's Individualized Programming records this choice, then sends the selected commercial to each viewer. The same choice can be recalled at a later commercial break to provide additional information. Other Programming Genres: Over time, the Company plans to add a variety of other types of individualized entertainment programs to its regional networks. These may include news, game shows, children's programs and music videos. International: London
