<<Your ignorance of broabdand access technologies is an embarrassment.>>

Speaking of ignorance,

YOU, Bernie Levy, have shown your ignorance on MMDS propagation characteristics. On the Yahoo thread, you claimed that MMDS is not LOS and were PROVEN WRONG by Wireless Wonk. I used to respect your technical expertise, but I have since learned that you are an imposter with no such expertise. You were not even aware that MMDS and PCS frequencies are at different places on the spectrum chart! Talk about embarassing!

For the benefit of others, I will repost Wireless Wonk's dressing down of Bernie. See below:

Bernard:

<MMDS employs the same type of frequencies as PCS.
<All PCS subsribers know that PCS does not require
<LOS.

I must respectfully disagree about MMDS not being LOS. PCS is at 1.8-1.9 GHz. MMDS is 2.4-2.6 GHz. Generally, the presumption is that between 2-2.5 GHz multipath effectiveness degrades rapidly.

Every MMDS system operator has always quoted their expected LOS household percentage. In fact Bell Atlantic used the excuse that LOS was insuffucient to bail out of its investment in CAI wireless. (notwithstanding that it was a smokescreen.)
