Now assume you are Joe six-pack and you walk to CompuUSA where they have Macs and PCs sitting side by side.

Uh, this IMAC 's got a 233 Mhz C..P..U, same as the compaq over here...

A 15" monitor, huh, just like the compaq

32 MB RAM, same. 4 GB, same. 4X CD-ROM same. 33.6K modem, same. Software, same. Price, same.

But, uh-he-he, accounting's got a PC at work, so I guess I'll buy the compaq for junior..

From a marketing perspective the list is not impressive.
