Speculative for the next couple of quarters? Not as comical as the continued arrogance demonstrated with the comment about "more important matters" being discussed. What's important to the Pump is who is Jack-O-Lantern on the Yahoo thread. What's important to the Pump is how often during his seven-day, twenty-four hour vigils he can as whether people making correct but negative comments are being paid for their efforts in an effort to cover-up his own glaring reasons for fabrication. The Pump wouldn't know important if it walked up and kicked him in the teeth.

As you know, the concocted story about a "major shipment" proved to be yet another one of the Pump's hoax, yet the speculation continues:

and yet another note - - marshall May 7 1998 2:09AM EDT

Something was said about a logical, easily deployable solution for
"last mile" situations. No details were revealed but it sort of sounded as if they weren't just working on this on their own.

Oh, "something was said" alright and the more they talk the better: talk is cheap. "No details were revealed" because there aren't any. The goal is to prevent delisting with with a new round of hype.

Another quick note - - marshall May 7 1998 1:59AM EDT

It appears that Data General just commited an impressive advertising budget for promotion of the product. Perhaps we'll finally start seeing some attention from the trade journals due to this commitment.

Impress advertising budget? Is this like the sales brochures? Is this like the story about an impressive shipment of systems which turned out to be a lie? I guess we'll have to listen to this nonsense until they actually close the doors.

Marshall claimed to be a visitor at Data Race when he accidentally tripped over evidence of a large shipment and decided to enlighten the group with his discovery. This was very kind of him, and given the risk he took of alienating himself from the company, investors should have been grateful. Perhaps they would have been, had it not turned out to be the latest in a long string of gigantic lies. Having said that, how was an outsider like himself to know? He was only reporting what he managed to ascertain on a brief visit, right? The fact that it turned out to be a pure fabrication wasn't something he had any control over, right? Well, not if we are to believe his answer to a question about insider knowledge posed on yahoo, this is what Marshall replied:

When a group of people have been following a company for almost two years (some even longer) you can't help but to learn who to call to attempt to get specific answers. Marshall

UPDATE:

The months of trashing VOIP is coming back to haunt him as RACE is now jumping on that bandwagon with everything they've got, to wit, an endless supply of rhetoric and empty promises.
