You know...I think Jobs may be on to something. The students at my college really go for those translucent beepers. Maybe this is a tactic to attract younger buyers which are more likely to develop a brand loyalty. I know that's how I felt about the original Mac I bought as I was about to graduate from college.

A college professor.

Alomex,

I understand now why there are so many apple fanatics. Jobs personality is electrifying...

It scares me to hear you talking this way...

Just kidding. It proves you have an open mind. But whatever you do, don't lose that conservative edge. Someone has to keep us honest around here.

Jobs doesn't produce reality distortion fields, his produces reality creation fields.

Regards,

Scott

And no matter what he said, he cares about the bottom line. His actions have shown that, and I'm glad he does, as this has brought new life to Apple.

Yes, actions DO speak louder than words. If he cared about the bottom line like every other computer maker in the known universe does, however, he would have given us a super fast, feature-laden machine that sent sales through the roof and cost less than $1,000; he could've lived off the fat margins on G3's for a while.

But he didn't do that.

I posit that Apple is going for style and substance, whereas its competitors have precious little of either of those qualities.
