After doing further DD, I have just realized that this company not only in the industry of wireless communication, it is also in the industry of satellite launching as well. Now I am more curious, why is this company only worth 20 millions for all of these technology and research. I would assume that the investment for research in the past would at least cost the company 20 millions or more. How did they do that?

Rocky - it's great that ADCT is their partner, but greater than that is BLS is involved. Last time I looked, BellSouth has ~$4Billion in cash and short term investments and can raise a billion fast. BellSouth confirming that the technology works is what is worth its weight in gold.

Now a question for the troops.
This test was using GSM which is the European cellular technology and Omnipoint for PCS. In the PLFM literature I saw GSM, TDMA and CDMA all mentioned. Does BellSouth use GSM in its cellular companies?

AT&T uses TDMA because when it bought McCaw it had a large embedded base of TDMA.

PrimeCo (3 RBOCs) for PCS and the three RBOCs in their Separate companies use CDMA which is a newer and better technology.

But then again, I'm just a CPA.

By the way, the front cover of Individual Investor that was in tonight's mail, "Sky's the Limit, In the 21st Century Satellites Will Connect the Globe.
