An email I got ...

GB,
We saw ethanol's future get rosier today. Gingrich nearly ensured ethanol subsidies thru 2007 when he appointed Rep. Jim Nussle from Iowa to sit on the committee which will deal with the subsidy. He bypassed ethanol's most powerful opponent Rep Bill Archer from Texas. Archer is chairman of the House Ways and Means Committe. I work for a large grain co. here in Omaha and our CEO just finished his tenure as president of the National Grain & Feed Assn. He was in Washington last month and reported back that the subsidy was in serious trouble on the hill. The subsidy was due to expire in 2000. I am now feeling alot better about MIDL.
