Shalom Donald,
The Day of Pentecost is such a neglected Holiday in the Church and IMO should be one of the greatest celebrations. In Judaism it is celebrated as the day Moses came down the Mountain with the stone tablets. This is also significant for 3,000 people are mentioned in the scriptures to have died when the Law came into the world and when the Holy Spirit came on that same Holiday 3,000 are mentioned as receiving eternal life through the Gift of the Holy Spirit.
Also, the Synagogues are decorated in white for it is celebrated as the wedding of Israel and the Lord, was the Church not sealed on that day as the Bride of Christ as well. In our Messianic Synagogue we decorate like a wedding with large symbols of fire hung in the middle of the room. May God be Praised! IMO we should CELEBRATE this Holiday as greater than Christmas for it was a GREAT gift from the Lord.
May the Lord bless you today,
Nancy

<< Why will you not deal with the Word of G-d. I still invite you to look at Deuteronomy 30:1-10. Also I am interested in your take on Ezekiel 38 & 39. To me these show that G-d is not through with national Israel. You quote scripture that supports your position, and that is fine.>>

I have read Deuteronomy 30 many times and I see it is a promise that belongs to anybody that belongs to the family of God, but not for reclaiming a physical piece of real Estate.

I guess your take on it is that the Messianics have confessed that Yeshua is their Lord and that by thus proclaiming this they are delivered from their sins. Being delivered from their sins means they can now petition their land back from God, who is obligated to keep His word. In essence then Messianics are doing the whole nation of Israel a favor.

I heard that a council of about 600 Ultra Orthodox Jewish rabbis have gotten together over the issue of who is really a Jew and who is not. Their claim is based upon the fact that the lineages have been lost and so that the only way to tell a true Jew from a false is by his beliefs. They definitely do not accept Messianics or any reformed types. Their decree is that any synagogue which doesn't fall in line with their set standards by a certain time will no longer be recognized as Jewish. What are your opinions on this?

-Chris

Donald,

Going back to Ezekial 38 and 39. After careful consideration and searching of the scriptures I have not found any place at all that would even suggest these prophesies have yet taken place. I have heard of so many testimonies and prophesies about what the Lord is going to do in these last days that's it's just too preposterous to believe these things aren't just on the horizon.

What's hard to understand about these scriptures though is that they are written to the church and not the world. Therefore they are spiritual and not easy to be discerned.
