How many accessed the WWW anywhere 5 yrs ago. None. How many now? Multi-multi-millions. I can't believe how short-sighted you are. Can you not see how things will be down the road?? The telephone costs are a fraction to put up cell towers compared to digging up neighborhoods to lay landlines. Web use in the US started with military and research institutions too, and look where it is now.
That was a BLIP ago in the span of time. Especially computer time. Do you know what Moore's Law is? Do you see the trend?? Do you?? What about my point the the internet is growing faster than TV, radio, telephone and cars? What about my point that foreign Web use is skyrocketing - about to take over US Web use. You conveniently like to pick on one small sentence instead of the entire point. btw, I don't know what your point is by posting 'don't invest in internet stocks' and 'internet isn't going anywhere'. Kindly put, you're obviously more knowledgeable about other sectors and your time would probably be better spent there than here. ps Many friends of mine have cable access and my neighborhood will have it later this year. I know of entire apartment complexes that are built with high-speed cable in each unit.
