The price you pay for a stock determines your rate of return. The higher you pay, the lower your return. The lower you pay, the higher your return.

Granted that it is humanly impossible to buy at the exact bottom, but anybody who missed the bottom by miles should at least have the grace to admit that his recommendation was not properly timed after all.

I wonder why am I saying all this anyway... for sometime ago, I visited Brinker's website and there, I saw a link to this thread! Now, that was sufficient indication that we can never have an objective discussion about Brinker on this forum.

When UTEK was $34.50 last fall, Jerry was wrong. When UTEK touched $18 a few
months ago, Jerry was right. When UTEK was $25 a few weeks ago Jerry was neither
right nor wrong. So Jim, What does all this prove ?
==
Pete, it proves nothing, but what nobody will admit is that the door swings both ways. Every caller tells Bob how great he is and he loves it, just like this thread does too. Bob calls stock X "dead money" or stock Y a "trading stock" but let one caller question his pick (UTEK) and for the rest of the show he harps on it, give me a break.

If someone holds a stock for a while, and I can name one he's harped on many many times, then the Brink will say it's a bad move. When Jerry questioned UTEK why is that any different, that money sitting there on that DOG is no different than any other $ sitting on another dog. Bob says "everyone wants immediate gratification", he is way too sensitive. Everyone is so afraid to offend the guy its comical.

I wish Bob would replay that Jerry call, I think the guy spoke cautiously he was trying so hard to be polite. I heard the whole call, it was entertaining. UTEK will probably be a 1999 stock as Bob has said or 2000 or whatever, God forbid I put words in his mouth on this thread.

may not look as stellar), UTEK has held up well:
