To all:
Good thread - first time I've come across it.
This may be a stupid question but... As a Cdn citizen, resident in Canada (and a Greenline client) can I trade US issues using one of those cheap US internet brokerage accounts? ie. the one's we see advertising very cheap trades. Greenline still charges $29US for 1000 shares. Are there any tax or other restrictions on using a US based internet broker which can say the investor a few bucks? Anyone?

By the way, I find Greenline WebBroker slow almost all the time. I don't think it's the ISP I think its the WebBroker system - no proof, just a hunch. The on-line TD banking is quite slow also, certainly slower than the telephone based system.

Thanx.
