Spoke to Irwin Roth, CEO, for over a hour....WOW! I was exhausted after listening to all the things they have going on. See my post on the TMEX CAFE thread on Friday about 4 pm EST as well if you like. Suffice it to say, that they have a leg up on the competition in 2 HUGE areas: 1) They are the only company to have a CD-QUALITY SOUND over the Internet.....much better than the fuzzy Real Audio stuff. Many companies want this technology, and it is the basis for their current major focus on the oen site for PAY PER LISTEN, live concert broadcasts. They have already worked a Stevie Wonder, Gladys Knight, Smokey Robinson and other FREE concerts, but starting next week PAY PER LISTEN starts. Looks like a great reveune stream....site is being modified and will be back up soon with "ticket prices". Demand for this serivce has exceeded expectations! They also have another big area of use with their INDUSTRY BEST, CD QUALITY AUDIO technology. That is, the ability for people to listen per song or per entire CD for a fee, before deciding to buy! Many people will do this, so that they don't waste $15 per CD. This is part of their upcoming KTEL-like Music Club... Prices are 75 cents per song or $3-4 for the whole CD listen. 2) What also blew me away is that they have a technology to do Video On Demand over the Web at a "full 30 frames per second" with high resolution. This is killer and will lead to many alliances and a whole VOD (Video on Demand) business with proprietary set top boxes and the works. Their already have tons o' movies in their library and are doing work for a major TV network you all know. 3) He also spoke about their business in California setting up ISDN lines for high speed internet access for businesses and had many neat plans there, too, including Video Conferencing. Talks with several major Networking names that you have heard of for a possible $35 million joint venture. This area is a way off, as they focus first on usage of their Superior CD sound to make money. LOTS HAPPENING and Mr Roth is a very experienced, talented, saavy, and nice guy....I enjoyed our talk. He was actually a Securities Lawyer for almost 40 years. There is no hype in this man and he asked me not to hype either which is why I am not listing many of the many Music Artists, TV Networks, major Networking Companies, etc. they are in talks with. I know see why Mr. Roth was gone for a couple weeks! Lots happening...stay tuned...this is a great stock with tons o' potential. Less for the daytrader than the mid to long term investor, although news is coming out fairly regularly now I imagine. PS: I spoke to him about doing something about the big spread on the stock price...he promised to check into it. DAVE
