><>...Afternoon David, How are you doing?...><>

Homosexuality is not the unforgivable sin.
No matter what we think of it God is faithful to forgive all who call upon Him...all!

When we accepts Jesus as our Lord and Saviour and repent of our sins with a contrite and broken heart, we are forgiven aren't we? ...of course we are...Still we continue to sin because we are by no means perfect, and God continues to forgive us, because of His abundant mercy, grace and love.

The law also proscribed death in the case of adultery. But then came grace in motion..O What a Saviour we have in Jesus!...what did Jesus tell those who brought a woman caught in the very act of that damnable sin, when they who brought her to Jesus reminded Him of the law...Imagine, looking Grace in the eyes and speaking of the law..!! Jesus answered ....Let he who is without sin cast the first stone....O the grace of God!.. And they knowing in their hearts that none were without sin, put down the stones and left. Then Jesus told the woman ..
John 8:10-11
10 When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?
11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.

Do you think it would have been any different if she were caught in the act with another woman?
As a matter of fact do we know fom scripture that it was not another woman?

And what is it that you think our Lord Jesus wrote with His fingers on the ground?

The point is David that there is only one unforgivable sin and homosexuality is certainly not it.
The blood of our Lord Jesus Christ was shed for all, including homosexuals. And God knows none of us are without sin, but when we ask God to forgive us He does.

There are multitudes of saved sinners within the church of Christ that battle sin every day. And every day with a contrite and broken heart ask God to forgive them, and He does....

Luke 17:3-4
3 Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him.
4 And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him.

Do you think that God teaches us to practice something that He does not?..God forbid! God is more forgiving, more just, more merciful, and more loving, than all the people on this planet put together.

When a person sincerely tries to put away sin from their life they are headed in the right direction and God will help them overcome that burden. But you know David, no matter how hard we try to put away sin form our lives there will always be sin in our lives.

But for the blood of Jesus we are all filthy rags.!

So the issue should not be whether or not a certain act is sinful, but whether or not God will forgive it. And we know He will, when we ask for forgiveness.... even if we commit it several times in just one day. The blood of Jesus covers all.

We all have our weakness and none of us is any better than any one else. We all fall short of the glory of God there are none that are good.....only one....God!

I Jn 1:9-10
9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

Thank you Father for our precious Lord and Saviour.

Have a good day David
Love and grace to you in our Lord Jesus the Christ
Shalom...><<>

A very skillful bowman went to the mountains in search of game.
All the beasts of the forest fled at his approach. The lion alone challenged him to combat. The bowman immediately let fly an arrow and said to the lion, "I send you my messenger, that from him you might learn what I myself will be when I assail you." The lion thus wounded rushed away in great fear, and when a fox exhorted him to be of good courage and not to run away at the first attack, he said, "You counsel me in vain, for if he sends so fearful a messenger, how shall I abide the attack of the man himself?"
If the warning admonitions of God's ministers fill the conscience with terror, what must it be to face the Lord himself? If one bolt of judgment brings a man into a cold sweat, what will it be to stand before an angry God in the last great day?
