T J Swift,

It's a pleasure to answer such a sensible, basic question.

Airstar installs phone systems in the new living quarters for single
soldiers on Army bases across the U.S. Airstar is the subcontractor to
Sprint, who has the general contract with AAFES, the Army & Airforce
buying arm. Every month, soldiers using their telephones are billed by
Sprint and Sprint pays SSI on the following basis:

70% of dial tone charges
70% of hook-up charges
10% of all long distance
Sprint pays all marketing costs

This translates into $19 to $22 per man per month with a market potential of
70,000 customers.

Other markets we are moving into include:

Phone service to on-base hotel rooms called "billeting rooms." The
payment from Sprint on these is $22.50 per room per month
plus 11% of all long distance.

Internet and cable TV service to all the above customers. We do not know
yet how much this will add to the above figures but these two services
are expected to be more profitable than the straight phone service.

From here we can expand into married couples' quarters, as well as
businesses on and off base and private individuals off base. So there's
plenty of room for Airstar to grow.

I hope this helps.
