What makes him so special.

Well, for openers, the fact that he's worked in the field for years, and actually knows quite a lot about it.

We're dealing here with a Y2K tool that's reportedly been evaluated by a website design firm. Not exactly the appropriate outfit. If, of course, it's been evaluated at all; there's been no further information offered about the mysterious Internet FX Design.

If I were running a company I would not under any circumstances buy the rights to a product I didn't understand unless it had been thoroughly tested by a number of people. This seems to me pretty basic.

IF a version were on the website, he could download like anyone else, but it isn't.

We're still operating only on rumor regarding what will be on the website and when. The current rumor being reported on Yahoo is "The software will begin selling on the website in about 1 week."

Oh, by the way, the web site is down again this morning. I've been checking in now and then to see if the 'beta' is available.

...umm...actually, no he can't&#151neither can anybody else. TED's knowledge and experience, however, warrants a special case of Cashco actually following up on their agreement; getting the software to him. On the hand, they've played so many games with this, I wouldn't blame him if he lost interest and withdrew his generous offer.
