Gregor, I always enjoy your posts, even when I'm too busy to respond. A bit over a year ago, I attended a seminar at our church from a traveling "Biblical economist" named Caleb McAfee. While I didn't agree with everything he had to say, he had a lot of good advice on things like getting out of debt, saving, investing and so forth. It wasn't really on the level that people who are members of SI would need, but for most of the folks there it was really useful. It beat the snot out of Charles Givens or Wade Cook at any rate. So there are resources out there, the churches just need to look for them and invite them in. In Christ, Ken.
