Bill,

I am sorry to hear about the problems you are having. If I could make a couple of point for all of us to consider.

1. You state that you are having a hard time exiting a trade that has run up over a point? Are you using soes market or offering out into strength to exit?. There is a point to letting your winners ride but my saying is jump on the horse early and get off while it still has some life to it. Don't ride the stock until it turns and then try to get out. This is a hard thing to implement but a 1/2 to 3/4 of a point gain is better than taking a loss. Sell when you want to not when you have to.

2. I'm not touting another product but all the features that you have listed are all available with Real Tick III. I don't care how many bells and whistles you have with the software package (Real Tick, Cyber Trader, Trade Cast ect) it all comes down to the speed and availability of the execution of the order.
So many guys and girls that I try to help with their trading are looking for the golden egg program. They want to design 4 MM windows and all the charts and indices and a huge watch list that they can cram on their screen or screens.
I say keep it simple - 1 MM screen with an embedded ticker and one ticker to watch MM movement, a chart (I prefer candlesticks) and a small watch list that you can add to or take away from during the day.
Use the rest of the features after you're done trading or looking for a new trade to make.

A guy told me a great analogy.
Trading is like driving a car. When you are 16 you are so excited to drive. You want to do it all of the time and you want to see how fast it will go. You want to try out the stereo and roll down the windows so everyone will hear and see you.
If you haven't gone through drivers education and gone out to drive with an experienced driver it will only be a matter of time before you get into an accident or get a ticket ect.
It doesn't matter if you are driving a Chevy pickup or a Mercedes they can all get you into trouble if you don't follow the rules. Read the owners manual take drivers education and above all learn from other experienced drivers.
Cyber Trader and the other highend trading platforms are Mercedes so use caution while operating.

One more saying if I may "the past is to learn from not to live in" Don't beat yourself up about a couple of bad trades just take some time and analyze your mistakes and then don't make them again and I can promise you that you will be successful.

Later,
Cader
