John,

Thanks for the catch. How did you come to find this since you are not a regular poster here at PNLK?

I am attempting to get more info from GZ as I write this and hopefully this will be clarified before the weekend is over.

Meanwhile I'd still like it if you would give me a little more info regarding your interest.

Thanks,

Rich

DOW JONES RELEASE...

Regarding the release from Dow Jones I need to clarify what took place. Needless to say I was as surprised to hear this news as you.
First of all, we had been negotiating with Dow Jones for almost a month and we had reached an agreement for ProNetLink to participate with Dow Jones in their news retrieval program. Implementation had begun with their support at Proxicom so that information would be included for the launch next week. Late Friday, after I had been given permission by the Account Executive at Dow Jones to release the news, the Dow Jones legal department contacted me to say that the release was incorrect due to two facts. One, that the actual contract had not been signed (we were waiting for that to arrive) and two, that the release was misleading in the sense that we were not offering the information for "free" but that is was part of the membership fee for ProNetLink. They did not want the rest of the industry to think that they had given us the service for free.
I apologize for any confusion that this "legal" bump in the night has caused and we will be on top of it first thing Monday morning. I assure you that it was not my intention to mislead anyone.

Picky, picky, picky. Next time you run across a misleading
ad or commercial for The Wall Street Journal, Barron's or
SmartMoney, send them an email pointing out the hype. I'm
sure we'll find some fine examples of hype from the company
that calls their paper "the world's most trusted newspaper".
