Rocky,

I think the cult following that Apple, Iomega, and the Beetle has, should be taken into account, at least given some consideration. Look at the Palm Pilot, I bought one a short time ago, I picked up a Pilot 3, have you seen the accessories, software(OEM & third party), web sites, etc... available for it?

Something has to be said for the "CULT FOLLOWING EFFECT" that I have been noticing. I feel the marketers at those companies think there is something important about that as well. Just my guess.

I got a kick out of some guy on the TV that said the new Beetle would be a failure (this was a month or two ago) he said it was way over priced. Expensive, yes, but I would have to disagree that it would be a failure for VW.

Just my observation, but there is something about that CULT FOLLOWING EFFECT that I find extremely fascinating. Maybe it has something to do with the ability of those companies to bring hot unique products to market?

Like I said, this "CULT FOLLOWING EFFECT" is extremely fascinating.

I feel your pain...toward the end of your statement almost a plea for a floppy drive. Break free RR. Become the future. 3.5 is dead.
