So far it's been holding very close to its 18 mpg city/27 mpg highway ratings - I've been checking and I'm not always too shy on the throttle. This is a full +2/+1 increase over my Z-34 Monte Carlo with the 3.4L DOHC 24V engine. Of course this is somewhat negated since the supercharged engine requires 91 octane fuel except in emergencies but I don't mind as I buy my cars more for the fun of driving them than for practicality.

I haven't been too happy with those multi-valve and/or turbocharged engines -
I like smooth, predictable power right off the line instead of having to wait for it.
The belt-driven supercharger makes it behave more like an Olds W-30 455 c.i.

You sure you realize which version of the Grand Prix I have?
It's a special edition 2-door GTP, mid-year production.

I understand the boost curve was slightly modified and while it's still rated from the factory at 240 HP/280 ft-lb we're talking 0-60 in 6.4 sec and 1/4 mile of 14.9 sec.
A simple ECU program tweak takes a second off the 0-60 and more off the 1/4 mile.
