Thanks for the interesting post, Dennis!

Yep, it's raining here in Monroe, too. (Just north of Seattle, for all of you in Rio Linda). But I just got back from Houston, where it was 95 degrees and humid, and this rain feels GREAT!

The comments by those fund managers are really encouraging. I hope they're right, and we are very, very close. As for the charging circuitry, I have been under the impression that it was going to be made by the repackagers who make the final batteries. But whoever it will be, let's hope it all starts happening, next week if possible!

Regards,
- T -

Dennis, thanks for that report. It was something we, I'm sure, were all very happy to read. A voice from the outside world, while from the inside there's still silence. But now I think we're really beginning to feel something, even if we don't read it. 73OM. (In the old ham radio days with Morse code this meant "Best of luck, old man.") Sig.

<< Incidentally, Power Battery early on had talks with VLNC about
utilizing PBY's charging circuitry, but nothing came of it as VLNC
wasn't ready for it, supposedly. >>

At The Electrochemical Society meeting in San Diego last week, I talked with a research scientist from Valence. From his description of their products, I got the distinct impression that they were only making cells, not batteries and not battery packs. Batteries are made by wiring the proper number of cells together, to get the voltage and current you need. If they are making cells only, then they would have no need to buy charging controllers, etc. Valence's customers, OEMs from what I heard, will be assembling the cells, together with charging controllers, etc. into the battery packs which will fit into cellular phones or laptops.
