The fund (POGSX) has been around a few years but hasn't performed better than the Russel 2,000..its benchmark. Some examples: 3yr return 19.47 vs Russel 24.4 and 5yr return of 14.9 vs Russel 17.6%. The fund beta is now at 1.30 range. Looking at the charts it is definitely a AIM candidate: In 1997 the following high lows were made.

1997 Feb around 21.00 and in April down to 15.00. In Oct it was again near 22 and in January 1998 it was around 18. Now we are back to the mid 20'. If you look at a yahoo chart of the fund and compare to its 50 day moving average, you will find some opportunities were AIM would have bought and sold this fund. It has 68% in Cap Gds, 12% in Transportation, 10% in Utilities and 8% in Non cyclicals. Hope this helps... Jim investnbest.netmegs.com

Hi Dennis,
I've not studied them, although the name is somewhat familiar.

Best regards, Tom
