I just had a ZIP disk fail the other day, I stuck it in the drive and it won't read it. All others work fine. I can't remember if this was a Sony disk or an Iomega disk as I took of the label. I use "Label Once" labels now.

Any ways, I always, when backing up critical data use 2 disks. One disk is "A" back-up one day, then the next back-up to disk "B." (Like Quicken data)

I have had 2 hard drives fail. One computer was only 3 weeks old, the other was old.

Nothing is fail proof.
