><>...Shalom to you Donald...><> You said;as I do not want to cause stumbling, and feel under fire here for using the name Yeshua. Maybe I'm paranoid, but some of the attacks are very overt. The name Yeshua is the name of our Lord Jesus in His native tongue . Plain and simple. With a little, very little, study into the name Jesus, one will find that Yeshua is His name. Translated Jesus in English . No big mystery at all. Any one who get upset at the name Yeshua just does not understand, but with a little common sense they and a Strongs Concordance they could put their misunderstanding to rest. 2424 Iesous (ee-ay-sooce'); of Hebrew origin [3091]; Jesus (i.e. Jehoshua), the name of our Lord and two (three) other Israelites: KJV-- Jesus. Iesous....is the Greek rendering of our Lord Jesus' name. ___________ ___________ 3091 Yehowshuwa' (yeh-ho-shoo'-ah); or Yehowshu' a (yeh-ho-shoo'-ah); from 3068 and 3467; Jehovah-saved; Jehoshua (i.e. Joshua), the Jewish leader: -Jehoshua, Jehoshuah, Joshua. Compare 1954, 3442. #3442 Yeshuwa, (yay-shoo-ah) for 3091, He will save: Yeshua the name of 10 Israelites. This is the hebrew rendition of the name Joshua which is translated in the Hebrew Yeshua, and in the English Jesus. So don't feel so intimidated Donald, you continue to use Yeshua if you care to....It is His name. Donald as to name of God, to put a - in place of the o, is quite superstitious and it's reasoning is without merit. This practice came from a belief that if the paper on which the name of God was written got destroyed or defiled in some way, that God Himself would be defiled. Even to the extent that someone with dirty fingers smudged the paper....Quite absurd I must say. A traditional superstitious practice and ceremonial event, none the less. Donald you too are a blessing to the body of Christ, and your posts are most interesting. Have a blessed day and much love to you in our Lord Jesus May God bless you and your family Shalom...><>
