<<The DOJ has to block Win98, for the good of all of us.>>

Rhet0ric,

Agree. But still prefer to see more aggressive steps provided by
both Apple and Microsoft to avoid such charges to Microsoft.

Netscape charges to Microsoft's Win98 have supporters. But, the
bottomline is that Netscape can not generate big revenues from their
software in a short time. Besides, there is too high expectation
when Netscape was in public initially.

Apple's case is different from Netscape's. Apple has a variety of
products, including hardware and software and with very loyal users.
The revenues generated by Apple are much more stabler than Netscape.
Well, Apple's the only one OS alternative left in the world with
26m users. I again hope Microsoft particularly can promote Mac to eliminate
the anti-trust troubles ahead of them, which will extend troubles to
pc manufacturers, such as Dell, Compaq, and Gateway.

What diffence does it make if Netscape survives or not from an Apple investor point of view. Jobs has hooked your caboose to IE. In some ways, Netscape should now be considered a competitor. If Win 98 doesn't ship, it's quite possible that USB perpherials will not be available for the iMac to the near the degree that has been planned on by the Apple designers. While you weren't looking, Jobs has hooked your caboose to Win 98 also. Rich
