RE: TA of 13s for week of 5/11/98

volume, volume, volume

disclaimer: not intended as investment advise. please consult a financial planner and do you own DD before making any investment decisions.

this is a continuation from prior post #1412

stocks I have yet to TA: FRA, XYBR, IFCI, BUS, RAYS, AKLM, HBI, SNTKY, TOPS, TXB, CNTR, BPRX, BITI, SCLN

Plus 4s

none

Plus 3s

TLSP expect a gap Monday open. If no gap watch for break of 10.50 on volume to enter. Good short term trader then step out while the overbought status corrects itself. A good long entry for this stock would be a bounce of a 34 day MA

GCR trading vehicle. scary long candidate. Long term and short term strong. Magnets at 11.75, 12.125, 13.00, 13.50. Must be quick and experienced to trade this one

IHCC One weird chart. I would consider this a trader also. No trend established one way or the other. Looks like it wants to run. Short term target of 11.375

Plus 2s

MARG watch list candidate. turning into a basing mode

ALMI trader. not strong enough to consider a long candidate. Short term is very strong and if the IHS formation on RSI 3 breaks out it will make a nice pop.

CHKR Broke above long term downtrend resistance which it had been retesting from an earlier breakout in April. The recent breakout was on low volume. It could go either way at this point. Great watch list candidate

IMRI Watch for a retest of 5.70-6.00 area which is an IHS neckline. After a retest period it looks to move north strongly.

SCOC Has yet to retest the break of a long term downtrend. It may never do so but just to be safe it would be a good idea to let it base/decline before entering a long position. It is very strong in short term technicals and looks to make an excellent trader. Magnets at 7.50, 7.75, 9.28, 9.37. 9.50, 11.875

MOXY coming onto Long term down trend resistance. Break of it would likely send stock to a new all time high. Good watch list candidate.

Thread:

In reaction to the fed's report:

From "Streeet Life":

"EMPLOYMENT FIGURES.... An awesome report on Friday,
baby!!! Awesome!!! Usually, I just hate it when
drivelly economic news dominates the markets. But this
was actually important! And cool!!! The unemployment
rate came in at 4.3%! Lowest level in 28 years! (1970!
Hey, I was playin' kickball. Or smokin' something. Or
something!) That is low! Sucker was over 5% a year ago!
So you might have thought that this GOOD news would
have been seen negatively, since it indicates the
economy is in cruise mode--ergo, the Fed would be
inclined to RAISE RATES. Instead, STOCKS SOARED. (Hey,
that's why they have the trading days!) In other
economic news: Ms. Flip Flop, or Alice (doesn't live
here anymore) Rivlin, NOW says that the Fed may NOT
need to raise rates. Hey, whatever you say gal!!!
Listen, I think the Fed IS going to pull up the nose of
this airplane some 25 basis points. Be a good thing!!!
Stretch this sucker out!"

Also of note:

More computer software game companies in the news:

Electronic Arts was upgraded, and
climbed $3 to $48. Compuware was also up $3, to $46.

Looks like a marketwide trend everyone.
