Hi s., Lately I am not tracking orctf as I used to ( resting after GTE ) but I saw in the local papers something interesting. Orckit opened second R & D center in Haifa, Israel. This is the city of the local R &D centers of Microsoft and Intel. It is also the city of the Israeli most important engineering University ( where Orckit founders graduated) so maybe this is the simple reason to the location. Ballmer, no. 2 to Gates, said in Israel last month that ADSL is one of the most important targets of Msft. and the head of the local MSFT r & d center said that they are working on some internet communication projects that he declined to specified. The latest agreement with Fujitsu, for rest of the world, made me to think that it is better for Orckit to sell to Fujitsu some stake of the company to avoid second offering at the low present prices.
