Hi MB,

With respect to the Perkin-Elmer news, the market took out INCY and shot it, while leaving HGSI, GENE, and AXPH (formerly SQNA) untouched. First question is why? Second question is, since INCY has already been slaughtered, would it be a pick up at this or lower levels? It is the sector leader, IMHO.

Third unrelated question, what's your take on LGND's buyout of SRGN?

thanks,
Mike

Here's an opposing view: #reply-4409786 . You might enjoy the discussions on this thread. You already know Rick H., and the rest of them are pretty sharp, too.

Mike, speaking of turnarounds,

Since when the cycle bottoms are reached within 3 months of the peaks? Are you thinking what I am thinking? AMAT management's credibility has degenerated to the level of the AOL management. Or, may be a bunch of Wall Street analysts are writing the script for the conference calls these days. -g-

MB After buying EWM again a couple of weeks ago at 5 1/4 I punted for 4 15/16 when it broke 5. In again at 4 1/2 today. If you'd bought at 4 1/2 where would you consider another third?
