msft can not wipe out chkpf for 2 reasons:

1. doj

2. need to focus on nt5 core and y2k

Vanni, re I think this is a strange reaction to a joint venture with a competitor.

It seems to me that MSFT needs something from CHKPF. At this turbulent point in the stock's history, I just think that linking Mr. Gates with CHKPF is just the anti-dote to the all those swarms of wanna-bee firewallers. The CEO said it best last week: "If big is all it takes, then why hasn't Cisco wiped out our market share by now?"

btw, anyone know what this means? --> unified policy-based management for global networks.

Sounds neat, whatever it is. -GG- And if MSFT wants to help CHKPF, I'm all for it.
