BEL is on the right track....And another big boy from across the pond will follow in similar fashion. BEL will announce deployment when they are ready. Not when they think they might be. Their markets are some of the largests and most influential in the telco industry it is very important to deliver what and when you say. To hype # of lines and # states to deploy without really having product is PR wind(GTE). FLEX is here now. When BEL deploys they will use Flex-cap and keep selling FLEX-CAP to customers until DMT chips are plentiful and Westell has commercial DMT product, at which time, the customer has a choice of either CAP/DMT product. Meanwhile LU will be upgrading BEL's CO's for ADSL 5ess switch/SLC-2000 and DSC will be upgrading BEL's litespan ADSL switch for CAP/DMT interoperbility . This will prove to be very cost efficient for BEL and could set an upgrade trend for all telcos. Of yes, concernig over the pond. If there is an expansion of FTEL arrangement, and I think I said their would be soon.....This will be a clear sign that BT has similar deployment plans with Westell as BEL does!!!
