ANCOR HAD A SUCCESSFUL DEMONSTRATION AT NETWORLD+INTEROP! Contrary to popular belief Ancor and fibre channel are gaining momentum in SANS and LANS. While speaking on Ancor's prospects with Ken Hendrickson, Cal Nelson, Steve Snyder, and an analyst/investor from Paine-Weber, Ken stated the company and fibre channel were gaining momentum. When asked what they thought about the current depressed stock price and the level of short interest, Ken chuckled they [the short sellers] must think we're [Ancor] going out of business. After speaking with the officers along with other employees at N+I in Las Vegas I as an investor am satisfied Ancor is still on course and should begin a significant ramp up by later this year and well into 1999. A point to mention on Brocade is that as a private company they can speak freely to the press and need not be constrained by NDA's. So, for what it's worth this was my observation.
