I have it on good authority (believe that and I will tell you another) that what happened is this guy actually opened his mouth at one board meeting and made a suggestion. G said "oh if you're so smart why not take over the sales and marketing yourself". Our hero then said he would if G would leave the company and if the gods spoke to him directly via a sign....the sign being it would rain for 13 straight days in Stamford Connecticut. Poor man he lost that bet. He should have said he would take the job if the stock stayed above $1 for ten straight days. That would have been a sure thing but hindsight is hindsight. This way the stock options are tastier so I guess he is not a total loser. Who knows, maybe this guy knows what he is doing. I hope so.
