At least 90% of the time I don't notice any.

I write down the trade as I am giving the order ....I include the order, the trader and wait for the fill as I watch the monitor. When the trader tells me the number more often than not the market is ticking that number off, or just did.

Then I write down the number and the exact time to the minute.

Some futures traders record their calls in case of an error, but the firms I deal with all record the calls so I don't bother. An error this morning in my account was determined to have occurred early Friday and a review of their tapes showed the trade belonged to another account, for example.
