Fore has a great potential!

I see that the ATM market will finally take off in 98.
So far, people had to pay much more for ATM products compared to other network technologies. This will change in 98. By the end of this year, people will be able to buy OC-3 NIC for under 100$. This makes ATM very competitive.

Furthermore, the introduction of ADSL will give ATM an additional boost. ATM is the primary choice for all real time data transfer, and
real time data transfer, as well as regular data transfer will increase with the introduction of ADSL (e.g. video to the home via ADSL).

I think the alliance with Intel was very important for FORE, since Intel will buy FOREs ATM switching solutions (which is where most of
the money is made).

More companies realize that ATM gains market share, and they want to be a part of this business. European companies like Siemens, Alcatel of Ericson might be candidates, and I think the chance of a take over
is at least 40%.

I am long on FORE!
