zebra, all these net companies brag about their increase in "hits." while important to the overall scheme of things there are much more important numbers that i NEVER hear them brag about. i know why. b/c it won't help them hype b/c they aren't flattering and don't sound good. these numbers are: THE PERCENTAGE OF HITS THAT ACTUALLY BUY PRODUCT AND ITS RATE OF CHANGE. i can brag all i want about a 100% increase in hits. lots of naive people will hold onto this bag of goods. however, if my percentage of hits that purchase product is cut in half then I'M STILL SELLING THE SAME AMOUNT OF PRODUCT - BUT MY SERVER BETTER BE UPGRADED AT SUBSTANTIAL COST! ;-) this number is critical and NOBODY talks about it b/c IT IS NOT A GOOD LOOKING NUMBER so they DON'T WANT YOU AND I TO KNOW ABOUT IT. duhhhhh. we aren't THAT dumb. I CONTRIBUTE AT LEAST 100 HITS ON YAHOO A MONTH AND NEVER HAVE PURCHASED A D*MN THING AND DON'T PLAN TO.
